  • Doris Ruth Mohr, 77, of Hannibal, Mo. died at 8:07 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Beth Haven in Hannibal, Mo.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Rodger Lane will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
    Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, from 1 p.m. until services at 2 p.m. at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal.
    Doris was born on December 20, 1935, in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of Lewis and Georgia Lee Garnett Sargent Mohr. Her parents, and two brothers, Dickie and James Mohr preceded her in death.
    She is survived by two cousins, Bonnie Agler of Centralia, MO and Rose Fuemmeler of Mexico, MO.
    Doris went to live in a state facility in Carrolton, MO in 1944 at the age of nine and remained there until 1960. Her brother, Dickie Lewis Mohr, lived at the same facility.
    She then made her home in Hannibal with Sam and Edith Sims. She remained close to them until their death. Doris moved to the city of Hannibal where she worked at Ahler’s restaurant for a time. She then went to work in Quincy at Davis-Cleaver for many years. She worked as a volunteer for many years at the Mark Twain Museum. Doris was a devoted Christian and a member of the Hannibal Church of Christ. She will be sadly missed by her many friends.
    Pallbearers will be Jim Conrad, George Wisdom, Tom Dunaway, Charles Van Os, and Mike Richardson.
    Memorials may be made to Loving Care Hospice of Bowling Green, and condolences sent to condolences@grandviewfuneral.com.
