Mary Jo Davidson, 77, of Monroe City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Boone County Hospital, Columbia, Missouri.
Mary Jo Davidson, 77, of Monroe City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Boone County Hospital, Columbia, Missouri. She was born January 4, 1936, in Hannibal, Missouri, the daughter of Henry C. and Bernetta Mulkey Hirner. She was a 1953 graduate of McCooey High School, Hannibal, Missouri.
Jo worked for the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Hannibal, Missouri as a secretary in the radiation department for 27 years. She then worked as a bookeeper for D&H Equipment Company in Monroe City for many years. Recently she worked as a Bookkeeper in her home for many business’s in Monroe City. She loved crocheting, going to Mark Twain Lake houseboating and spending time with her husband and all of their friends on the lake. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandson Jordon.
She married Charles Melker Davidson, October 4, 1975; he survives of the home. Also surviving, one daughter, Deborah J. Rupp, Dallas, TX; One grandson, Jordon Rupp, Dallas, TX; One sister, Lois Besgrove and husband William, Euless, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Mark Glasscock.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hannibal, Missouri. Visitation will be from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Garner Funeral Home, Monroe City, Missouri.
Active Pallbearers will be Jordon Rupp, Lee Anderson, Joe Crane, Mark McNally, Stephen Rupp and Jerry Copenhaver. Honorary Pallbearers will be David, Mike, Jim, John and Bob Besgrove.
Memorials have been suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
