Just this week the Education Committee in the ND legislature voted down a bill to provide a milk snack to children from low income homes.  This action is stingy and cruel.  These are the Scrooges who paid Bob Cratchet a wage so low that he could not adequately feed his family.  

The North Dakota treasury is bulging with money.  We can afford a container of milk for low income kids.  Instead we give tax breaks to Oil Companies?  

These parsimonious officials make the US Congress look almost functional----they shame our state!
