Donna L. Wilson, 83, of Red Bud, Ill., died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Red Bud Nursing Home in Red Bud.
Donna was born Oct. 25, 1929, in Racine, Wis., to Orville and Julia Shephard Turner. She was married to James A. Wilson in 1977 in Reno. He died Nov. 25, 1986.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sparta, Ill., and was a restaurant cafe owner.
Survivors include one daughter, Ina Higgins of Denver, Colo.; one step-daughter, Marcia Wilson of St. Louis, Mo.; two sons, Dean (Lucy) Higgins of Baldwin, Ill., and David (Lynda) Higgins of Eau Claire, Wis.; step sons, James “Skip” (Donna) Wilson of Palmyra, Mo., Eric (Pam) Wilson of Hannibal, Mo., and Patrick Wilson of El Paso, Texas; one sister, Johnna Irwin of Las Vegas, Nev.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her adoptive father, John Schadey.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Holy Family Cemetery in Hannibal. Mo. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Sparta, Ill.
Memorials may be given to Heartland Hospice, or Monroe County Humane Society.
