The Northeast Missouri Chapter of the American Red Cross is announcing its February course schedule for health and safety classes in the Hannibal area.
The chapter will offer a CPR/AED for professional rescuers and health care providers from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, at the Northeast Missouri Chapter House, 3062 Highway 61 North, in Hannibal. The fee will be $110.
The purpose of the class is to train professional-level rescuers to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants until more advanced medical personnel take over. This course has been updated to meet the ECC 2010 guidelines. People can call 1-800-REDCROSS or go to redcross.org/takeaclass for course schedules and to register.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certification that is valid for two years.
