  • A Shelbina man was left with moderate injuries following a Wednesday morning traffic crash in Marion County.
    According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the mishap happened at 6:34 a.m. on U.S. 24 at U.S. 36, seven miles west of Hannibal.
    A 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt was being driven north on U.S. 24 by 48-year-old Vincent J. Hercules of Shelbina. A 2007 Mack Vision conventional tractor, operated by 53-year-old Ronald D. Brady of Mayview, was attempting to turn left from an exit ramp onto southbound U.S. 24. The accident occurred when the Mack failed to yield to the Cobalt, which struck the Mack’s rear wheels.
    Hercules, who was wearing a safety device, sought medical treatment at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
