Police are still looking for a Hannibal man who allegedly shot a Kansas City, Mo., man twice Monday evening in Hannibal.
The shooting reportedly occurred shortly before 7 p.m. in the 400 block of North Arch St. where a 38-year-old man was wounded. The victim was driven by a friend to Canton. He was transported from there to Blessing Hospital by ambulance. According to police, the victim’s wounds are not believed to be life threatening.
Wanted for questioning in the incident is 25-year-old Martez D. Peete of Hannibal. Police report that Peete likely has a handgun in his possession.
While police are not speculating publicly about a motive, they do call the shooting an “isolated incident between the suspect and victim.”
