The CHART Teen Task Force will host its 17th Teen Health Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center in downtown Hannibal.
The Health Fair features booths on health and safety for teens, a DJ with music, free prizes for teens, and free food for all visitors. At the Health Fair, teens can learn about seat belt safety with the convincer sled. Information on prevention of lung and skin cancers and sexually transmitted diseases will be discussed. Teens can have vision screening. This free teen event is designed to promote healthy lifestyle choices for teens, and is an opportunity for church youth groups, scout groups, school groups and families with teens to combine fun and learning.
Over 30 booths will provide information for teens, and all teens will be eligible for prizes. The Teen Health Fair is made possible by many generous donations from area merchants and individuals, the Riedel Foundation, Evening Kiwanis, and the United Way of the Mark Twain Area. The event is co-sponsored by the CHART Teen Task Force and Hannibal Parks and Recreation.
