A Hannibal man with a felony warrant was taken into custody Wednesday night without incident in Ralls County.
According to Sheriff Gerry Dinwiddie, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Wednesday he and Chief Deputy Haught observed a vehicle behind a closed business along U.S. 61, just south of Hannibal. While investigating, a person wanted on a felony warrant for $100,000 cash bond was identified as the driver of the vehicle. Christopher Jared Parsons of Hannibal was arrested at the scene.
The Hannibal Police Department’s K-9 unit was called to the scene. During a search of the vehicle, narcotics were allegedly discovered, according to Dinwiddie.
In addition to the Hannibal Police Department, the Ralls County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
