An eastern Missouri man is under arrest, suspected of kidnapping his 15-year-old ex-girlfriend into his vehicle at gunpoint after she got off her school bus.
Radio station KXEO reports the incident also caused a brief lockdown Wednesday at schools in Montgomery County.
Montgomery City Police Chief Phil Ahern says the girl told investigators she rode the bus home Tuesday and was confronted by her 18-year-old ex-boyfriend. She says he ordered her at gunpoint into his vehicle and drove her around throughout the evening.
Police say the older teen brought the girl home unharmed late Wednesday morning but made threatening comments that prompted an hour-long lockdown at the schools. The 18-year-old was arrested Wednesday afternoon.
