Altorfer Inc. has announced that Tom Will is the new store manager of its Hannibal construction location, effective Jan. 1. Will replaces Dick Rupp following his retirement on Dec. 31.
Mark Hanson, vice president of the Altorfer Construction Division, says Will and Rupp have been working side by side since September to ensure a smooth transition.
Rupp retires after 45 years of service. He began his career at the Hannibal facility working with undercarriage and then moved into the main shop as a technician. In 1977, Rupp became machine inspector and assisted with diagnostics, and shortly after became a product support sales representative, covering the majority of Altorfer’s Missouri service territory. In 1993, he was promoted to his most recent position as Hannibal store manager.
Will is a native of Payson, Ill., and a graduate of Spoon River College in Canton, Ill. He joins Altorfer with 25 years of experience in the construction equipment industry, where he has gained both direct sales and management experience in all facets of the business, including machines, parts and service.
