    75, of Hannibal
    Mary Martha Smith Paxton, 75, of Hannibal, MO, died at 1:55 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2013, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.
    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2013, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Rick Chapman will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
    Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
    Mrs. Paxton was born March 10, 1937, in Hannibal, MO to Charles and Naomi L. Hinch Smith.
    She was married to John T. Paxton on September 15, 1962, in Hannibal, Missouri. He survives.
    Other survivors include 5 children, John D. Paxton (Sandra) of Clarksville, TN, Charles  Paxton (Lori) of Hannibal, MO, Naomi Egbert (Troy) of Hannibal, MO, Diana Lasby (Martin) of Hannibal, MO, and Latonda Rickey (Kenny) of Hannibal, MO; 2 brothers, Jim Smith of Hannibal, MO, and Leslie Smith (Cindy) of Hannibal, MO; 4 sisters, Elva Campbell of Hannibal, MO, Georgia Short (Luke) of Hannibal, MO, Gloria Blackwell (Jerry) of Boody, Illinois, and Vickie Harris (Danny) of New London, MO; 25 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
    She is preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Kevin Paxton; 1 brother, Perry Smith; and 1 sister, Carolyn Smith.
    Mrs. Paxton worked as a cook for Zion Lutheran School in Palmyra, Missouri and at St. John’s Lutheran School in Hannibal, MO. She liked camping and fishing and enjoyed cleaning house. Mrs. Paxton loved being with her family and her grandkids. She attended Hannibal Free Will Baptist Church.
    Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
    Pallbearers will be Chris Paxton, Stephen Paxton, Aaron Paxton, John Paxton, Jake Paxton and Christina Nonneman.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Les Smith, Jimmy Smith, and Mrs. Paxton’s grandchildren.
