Reception scheduled for retiring chief juvenile officer of the Tenth Judicial Circuit.

The Tenth Judicial Circuit will be hosting an open house to honor the career of Philip W. Livesay, chief juvenile officer of the Tenth Judicial Circuit, at 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, in the courtroom of the Marion County Courthouse, 906 Broadway, Hannibal.  
Chief Juvenile Officer Livesay began his career as a deputy juvenile officer/positive peer culture coordinator with the Tenth Judicial Circuit on Nov. 1, 1979. Judge Ronald R. McKenzie appointed Livesay as chief juvenile officer effective Jan. 1, 1990. He was reappointed by Judge Robert M. Clayton II in 1997 and Judge Rachel Bringer Shepherd in 2010.
Livesay will be retiring Jan. 31 after 33 years of service in Marion, Monroe and Ralls Counties.
The open house is open to the public. And light refreshments will be served. Livesay requests no gifts or cards.
