  • A fund-raising event to benefit families impacted by childhood cancer will take place on Sunday, Jan. 20, at the Main Street Wine Stoppe, 303 N. Main St., in Hannibal.

  • A fund-raising event to benefit families impacted by childhood cancer will take place on Sunday, Jan. 20, at the Main Street Wine Stoppe, 303 N. Main St., in Hannibal.
    Friends will begin gathering at 3 p.m. The head shaving will take place at 7 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres will be available along with a cash bar.
    J.R. Latta of Hannibal will shave his head in honor of children who are going through cancer treatment. Latta, who is undergoing chemotherapy, is currently the regional director of the Imperial Public Relations Committee for the Shriners Hospitals. Mayor Roy Hark will serve as the event’s emcee.
    Donations from the event will go to the not-for-profit organization, Leaps of Love.
