  • Players on Hannibal’s Special Olympics basketball teams will have a chance to show off their skills in an exhibition game Thursday, Jan. 10.

  • Players on Hannibal’s Special Olympics basketball teams will have a chance to show off their skills in an exhibition game Thursday, Jan. 10. The game will be played at Hannibal-LaGrange University’s Mabee Sports Complex.
    The exhibition game will start at halftime of the 7:30 p.m. men’s game against William Woods University.
    Members of the three Special Olympics teams will scrimmage and members of the two skills teams will showcase their basketball abilities.
    Hannibal Parks & Recreation and Missouri Special Olympics officials will hand out Polar Plunge T-shirts and souvenirs. The Polar Plunge Jan. 26 in Hannibal benefits the Special Olympics.
    The players practice every Wednesday at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center. Coaches are still needed and information is available at www.somo.org/Volunteer .
