Jack A. Stolte, 76, of Galesburg, Ill., passed away at 1:03 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at the Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Ill. He was born on Aug. 26, 1936, in Hannibal, Missouri, the son of Ralph and Dorothy (Palmer) Stolte.
Jack married Jeanette Gates on February 23, 1981, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives along with five children: Geri (Jim) Powers, Tony Stolte, Jackie (Nick) Puente, Dana (Janine) Stolte, and Brian (Joelle) Stolte; four step children: Jody (Rich Long) Gates, James (Bonnie) Gates, Jill (Gary) Lutz, and Jon (Courtney Hiner) Gates; 23 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Palmer Stolte; and one sister, Barbara (Jerry) Akright.
Jacked worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad and BCZ as a railroad designer. He was a member of the Soangetaha Country Club.
Creamation rites have been accorded and services will be at a later date. Endsley-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Bartonville is in charge of arrangements.
