  • Troop B of the Missouri State Highway Patrol had announced the traffic crash and enforcement totals for both the Christmas and New Year’s counting periods for Northeast Missouri.

  • Troop B of the Missouri State Highway Patrol had announced the traffic crash and enforcement totals for both the Christmas and New Year’s counting periods for Northeast Missouri.  
    During the Christmas counting period, which began at 6 p.m. Dec. 21, and ended 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 25, Troop B officers investigated 21 traffic crashes, which resulted in six injuries, and no fatalities. Troopers also made three arrests for driving while intoxicated.
    During the New Year’s counting period, which began at 6 p.m. Dec. 28, and ended 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 1, Troop B officers investigated 26 traffic crashes, which resulted in two fatalities and nine injuries. The fatality traffic crashes occurred in Chariton and Clark counties. Troopers also made seven arrests for driving while intoxicated during the holiday period.
