A man sought in conjunction with the stabbing death of a woman in Marshall on Wednesday was taken into custody Thursday in Clarksville.
According to Pike County Sheriff Stephen Korte, Terry Thompson, 45, was arrested at approximately 8:40 p.m. at 119 N. First St. in Clarksville.
Thursday evening a Clarksville resident called the Marshall Police Department after finding out that Thompson was wanted. Marshall police notified the Missouri State Highway Patrol which contacted the sheriff’s department. Two troopers and two deputies went to the residence and took Thompson into custody.
Shortly after midnight Marshall police officers took custody of Thompson at the Bowling Green Police Department.
While there are no local charges against Thompson, Korte reports that Thompson’s connection to the area is being looked at as part of the ongoing investigation.
