Employees from the dietary and housekeeping departments were recognized Dec. 19 with Monroe Manor’s annual Employee of the Year awards
Employees from the dietary and housekeeping departments were recognized Dec. 19 with Monroe Manor’s annual Employee of the Year [EOTY] awards, and an additional seven employees received certificates commemorating various lengths of continuous employment.
Manor administrator Shari Embree presented Josh Miller with the EOTY and Connie Perry with the runner-up certificate during an employee afternoon Christmas party.
Miller, 23, of Paris, started working at Monroe Manor in Nov. 2008 as a dishwasher in the dietary department and was advanced to a cooking position in 2010.
Perry, 52, started working at the Manor in January 2009 in the housekeeping department.
Both the EOTY and the runner-up received small cash prizes for their achievements.
Continuous employment certificates went to social services director Vanessa Ashenfelter (35 years), activities director Debbie Miller (15 years), Judy Shoemate, of the housekeeping department (10 years), Certified Medication Technician Sherri Coose (five years), office manager Melissa McKinney (five years), Denise Morton, of the activities department (five years) and Certified Nurses Assistant Dierdre McBride (five years).
