Kenneth A. Plunkett, 77, of Monroe City, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012, at his home.
Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at Yager-Kendrick Funeral Home in Monroe City with Rev. Steve Goughnour officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.
Kenneth was born on June 4, 1935, in Nehawka, Nebraska, the son of Paul Adrian and Jewell Wade (Crouch) Plunkett.
On June 21, 1958, in Long Beach, CA, Kenneth married Kathleen Benson, and she survives of the home.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Kathleen; a daughter, Karen Rubison and husband Charles; grandchildren, Heath Rubison (Lori Kettelkamp), Levi Rubison (Amanda), Wesley Rubison (Krystal), and Breanne Rubison; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Delilah, Keaton, and Kaydence Rubison, and Rachel Hommert; and a brother-in-law, Brian Walbrecht.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Shawn Ashley Plunkett; a daughter, Stacy Leigh Plunkett; and two sisters, Ailene Broughton, and Pauletta Walbrecht.
Kenneth worked as a tile setter in California and later worked at Diemakers, and Kuhlman Die Casting of Monroe City, and was an Insurance Agent for the Prudential Insurance Company.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association in care of Yager-Kendrick Funeral Home, 545 Stoddard Street, Monroe City, MO 63456.
