Well, I see the Kansas City Chiefs are back to normal. At least the managed to score a touchdown. Sunday’s loss to the Cleveland Browns probably marks the first time in NFL history that the second reincarnation of the Browns were able to blow out an opponent. The Chiefs travel to Oakland next Sunday.
The St. Louis Rams were able to hold a very potent Buffalo Bills offense in check and came away with a 15 to 12 vitory on Sunday. The Rams are playing with a lot more confidence thease days and I think that is due in large part ot the influence of their new coach Jeff Fisher. Unfortunately for the Rams, the Seatle Seahawks got hot at the same time the Rams did and that is going to make it very difficult for the Rams to make it into the playoffs this year but there is still an outside chance and it won’t be from lack of trying if they don’t make it.
The Truman State basketball teams split their home double header on Saturday with the women winning impressively against a good Missouri Southern team. The men unfortunately ran into a very talented and much taller Missouri Southern team and were not able to contend with the size differential. Both teams have a few days off now as the men don’t play again until the Quincy tournament on December 18 while the women head to Riverside, CA on December 17 to play in the California Baptist tournament. Obviously the women have a much better travel agent than the men do.
The Missouri Tigers men’t basketball team got off to a slow start on Saturday but were able to pick up the intensity in the second half to eventually blow away Tennessee State. The Tigers have some time off as well before traveling to UCLA to play the Bruins.
Congratulations to the Kirksville Tigers wrestling team on an outsanding performance this past weekend at the Tiger Classic wrestling tournament. The Tigers once again proved they are one of the top teams in the state.
We’ll be back on Wednesday with a more detailed blog looking at a few things we haven’t had the opportunity to talk about which have happened recently. This is kind of a quiet week as none of the college teams have games this week so that will give us a chance on Wednesday to talk a little baseball along with whatever else I can dig up. Thanks as always for supporting this blog and please continue to do the same for all the other blogs on this site as well.
Have a great Monday!
