  • Chris Chinn of Clarence was elected to a second two-year term on the Missouri Farm Bureau board of directors at the organization’s 98th annual meeting Dec. 4 at the Lake of the Ozarks. Chinn represents District 2, encompassing the northeast area of the state.
Chinn and her husband, Kevin, and their two children, Rachelle and Conner, reside on the family’s hog farm. She manages the production and financial records for the family’s 1,500 sow farrow-to-finish hog operation, as well as the family’s feed mill. The couple also has a small cow-calf herd and grows corn and soybeans.
Chinn served on the Missouri Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers (YF&R) Committee. In 2007, she served as chairman for the American Farm Bureau YF&R Committee and as advisory member on the board of directors for the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF).  Currently, she is a Shelby County Farm Bureau board member, YF&R chair, and secretary. More recently, Chinn was involved in developing and facilitating Farm Bureau’s Spokespersons Working Together for Agriculture (SWAT) program to help county Farm Bureau leaders better tell the story of agriculture.
