The Monroe City R-I School District was presented a $25,000 grant on Dec. 3. The district was a winner in the Monsanto Fund’s America’s Farmers Grow Rural EducationSM. This program gives farmers the opportunity to nominate their public school district to apply for a merit-based grant to enhance math and science education.
After a three-tier grant review process, Monroe City R-I School District was selected as one of 11 winners in Missouri. In Missouri, a total of $155,000 is being invested in rural education.
