    72, of Hannibal
    Elizabeth Louise “Betty” Boland, 72, of Hannibal, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at her home. Betty was born October 26, 1940, in Palmyra, Missouri, to Lawrence and Christine Bynum Kroeger. She was married to Tom Boland June 29, 1992, at Ilasco, Missouri. He survives of the home.
    Survivors include children: John (Cindy) Ravenscraft of Hannibal, Jill Ravenscraft of Hannibal, Jeri (Bill) Quilling of Palmyra, Kathie (Stel) Pontikes of St. Louis, Mo., Mary (Tom) Glancey of Columbus, OH, Mike (Linda) Boland of Winnsboro, TX; and Bobby (Lynn) Boland of Hannibal. Grandchildren: Schyler Losson of Hannibal, Kane Mudd of Columbia, Mo., Elizabeth (Jerome) Beguerie of Houston, Taylor and Michelle Glancey of Columbus, OH, Justin Boland, Columbia, Gabbie Wiley of Hannibal, Max, Lydia, and Henry Boland of Hannibal, Shannon Wilson of Monore City, Andrea Kendrick of Springfield, Mo., and Amy (Adam) Stevens of Pella, Iowa; and great grandchildren: Jacques Beguerie, Johanna Louise Beguerie, Gage Wilson, Hunter Wilson, Andrew Stevens and Summer Stevens. She is also survived by sisters, Bernadine (Wesley) Carson of Monroe City, Mo., and Carol Ann (Bob) Porter of St. Charles, Mo. and sister-in-laws Betty Kroeger of Centralia, Mo. and Phyllis Kroeger of Palmyra. She was preceded in death by brothers, Bud and Sonny Kroeger.
    Mrs. Boland was a beautician stylist for over 45 years retiring in 2000. She owned and operated Betty’s Beauty Shop in Palmyra, Missouri for many years. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School and later graduated in 1958 from Palmyra High School. Following high school, she attended Quincy Beauty Academy earning her cosmetology degree. Betty was a member of the Hannibal Woman’s Club as well as the Missouri State Board Of Cosmetology. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing bridge, participated in her book club, loved to travel, and cherished the time she spent with her loving family. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Hannibal, Missouri.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Hannibal, Missouri. Father Michael Quinn will officate. Burial in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Hannibal, Missouri. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 8 p.m. by Deacon Robert Leake. Memorial contributions may be made to Palmyra Nutrition Center.
    Casket bearers will be Kane Mudd, Schyler Losson, Stel Pontikes, Tom Glancey, Mike Boland, Bobby Boland, Justin Boland, and Taylor Glancey. Honorary bearers Bud Janes, Brad McPike, David McGinnis, and Jerome Beguerie.
