Donald W. Dugan
71, of Troy

Mr. Donald Wayne Dugan, 71, of Troy, MO, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at his residence. He was born on September 7, 1941, in Hannibal, to Charles and Lois (Renner) Dugan. Don was the oldest of eight children. He met the love of his life, Lisa Craig, and the rest is history. They were married on August 7, 1966, in Hannibal. The couple later moved to St. Louis as Don was working for General Motors. He had been a member of UAW #2250. The Dugans moved to Troy in 1971. They purchased the first house they looked at. Together they raised their daughter, Danielle and their son, Tim. When Tim was in grade school and middle school, he began playing soccer. His father raised Quarter horses for many years until he decided to build a soccer field in the Fall of ‘90. The high school team began playing on that field during the Fall of ‘91. Since that time, the soccer field has had continuous use by many clubs. Don enjoyed cutting the grass and took great pride in the soccer field. Through the years, Don and Lisa were fortunate to be able to travel to many of the state parks in the U.S. and also traveled abroad. Being members of the First Baptist Church in Troy was very important to Don and his family. Don was a good provider for his family. He will be greatly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved him.
