Don W. Brownell, 62, of New London, Mo., died at 12:05 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.
An informal Memorial Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at the Brownell Farm, 62486 Oak Hill Road, New London, Mo.
The James O’Donnell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Brownell was born April 8, 1950, in Fort Knox, Ky., to Sidney Leroy and Gloria Ann Hiles Brownell.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Sarah Lynn Riedle (Chad) of Palmyra, Mo.; his former wife, Kathy A. Barrett of Salina, Kan.; 2 sisters, Gloria Brownell of New London, Mo., and Sandra Lynn Brownell of Hannibal, Mo.; 2 trandchildren, Montgomery Riedle and Ashlyn Riedle; 1 nephew, Chris Brownell; and 3 nieces, Kayla Brownell, Amie Strieker and Amanda Hudson.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Sidney Brownell; and 1 sister, Patricia Ann Hart.
Mr. Brownell worked as a conductor for the Burlington Northern Railroad, retiring in 1988.
Memorial contributions may be made to the World Wildlife Federation in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
