    90, of Hannibal
    Ruby Marie Phillips Smith Bryson, 90, of Hannibal, Mo., formerly of Marshall, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Luther Manor Retirement and Nursing Center in Hannibal.
    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to family choice and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com
    Born June 6, 1922, in Grand Pass, Mo., (Saline County), she was the daughter of the late Tucker Monroe Phillips and Maude Leota Auberry Phillips. She grew up in the southern part of Missouri and attended school in Laclede and Webster counties. Ruby was baptized as a young girl, and was currently a member of Slater Baptist Church.
    Ruby Marie Phillips was united in marriage to James Arthur Smith on Dec. 24, 1938, and he preceded her in death on April 25, 1955. Ruby married Jasper Daniel Bryson on Nov. 15, 1958, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 1981.
    Mrs. Bryson was known for her many beautiful quilts, which she made for family and friends. She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible, and encouraged her children and grandchildren to read. She loved flowers and tended them in her yard in summer and her house plants year round. Ruby had other hobbies, which she shared; like crocheting, making bed-dolls, ceramics, and puzzles. She loved and appreciated her family and friends and neighbors. She will be greatly missed by her family and everyone that knew and loved her.
    She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Carrol Salsman of Hannibal, and Gracie Riley and husband Gary of Marshall; one son, Don R. Smith and wife Ann of Boonville; two daughters-in-law, Judy Smith and Karen Smith, both of Marshall; one step-daughter, Donna Gross and husband Larry of Warsaw; one step-son, Russell Bryson and wife Sheila of Lowry City; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary K. Smith of Delaware, OH; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
    Mrs. Bryson was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, two sons, James Lee Smith and Ronald Joe Smith; three step-sons: Daniel R. Bryson, Thomas D. Bryson, and Darrell Lee Bryson; two step-daughters, Daisy June Mowell and Joyce Dawn Morlan; one granddaughter; three grandsons; and one great-grandson.
