  • Elizabeth I. “ Beth” Corum, 74, of rural Palmyra, Mo., died at 7:43 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

  • Elizabeth I. “ Beth” Corum, 74, of rural Palmyra, Mo., died at 7:43 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
    She was born June 20, 1938, in Kahoka, Mo., to Charles S., Jr. and Goldie May Billington Walker.
    Beth married Charles G. Corum Sept. 2, 1984, in Warsaw, Ill.
    She is survived by her husband, Charles; daughters, Neysa (Bobby) Jenkins of Camdenton, Mo., Gloria (Edward) Brownlee of Warsaw, Ill., and Tracy (Steve) Maiden of Hannibal, Mo.; son, William (Mary Morgan) Skipton of Palmyra; stepdaughter, Paula (Kevin) Knollhoff of Maywood, Mo.; stepsons, David (Cathy) Corum of Donaldson, Mo., and Randy (Beth) Corum of Palmyra; brothers, Robert (Marilyn) Walker of St. Louis, Mo., and James Walker of Wayland, Mo.; sisters, Leola (Floyd) Webster of New London, Mo., Margie (Roderick) Webster of Lewistown, Mo., and Louise (Loyd) Gordy of Granger, Mo.; 24 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
    She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Jean Gordy; and her parents. 
    Beth worked as a cosmetologist for 55 years. The past 35 years, she has worked with Ruth Hoehne at Ruth’s Beauty Shop in Palmyra.     
    Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra,  Mo.
    Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel.
    Memorial contributions may be made to Maple Lawn Nursing Home Auxiliary.
