Robert B. “Chiz” Green, 75, of Hannibal, Mo., passed away at 5:44 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Beth Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at Holy Family Church in Hannibal. Father Mike Quinn will officiate. Burial with full military honors by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post No. 55 will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal, Mo.
The James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of services Thursday at Holy Family Church.
Mr. Green was born July 22, 1937, in Hannibal, Mo., to Lloyd and Alice C. Maher Green.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Alice, Ellen, James and Faye.
Mr. Green was a United States Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. He retired from the United States Postal Service.
Mr. Green graduated from McCooey High School. He liked the Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Cardinal and Mizzou Tigers. Mr. Green was an avid reader and liked playing cards and enjoyed visiting with friends. He was a Catholic by faith.
