  • One hurt in sideswipe accident on Saturday.

  • One person was injured Saturday in the wake of a two-vehicle crash in Marion County.
    According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident happened at 5:23 p.m. on Missouri 6 nine miles north of Palmyra.
    A 1999 Jeep Cherokee, driven by 40-year-old Ronald J. King of Palmyra, reportedly crossed the center line and sideswiped a 2008 Ford Escape operated by Dawn R. Hulett, 33, of Maywood.
    Injured in the mishap was a passenger in the Escape, 57-year-old Connie Eisenberg of Maywood, who was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident.
    Eisenberg, whose injuries were described as moderate, was taken by Marion County ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.
