A New London man suffered minor injuries Friday morning when the fire vehicle he was driving crashed.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident happened at 6:30 a.m. on Route V three miles east of New London.
A 1992 International fire tanker truck of the New London Fire Department was being driven by 67-year-old Michael Woodside of New London to a fire when it crested a hill and met a vehicle with its high beams on. The fire truck ran off the right side of the road. When Woodside over-corrected the truck traveled back across the roadway where it struck an embankment.
Woodside, who was wearing a safety device, was taken by Marion County Ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
