Three event highlights
According to the BPW, last year's event was an overwhelming success, attracting four times as many people as had been expected. This year the BPW is expecting 1,200 people.
In 2011 a big hit were the aerial trucks, which provided youngsters with a bird's eye view of downtown. A third aerial truck will be on hand this year.
There will be drawings, prizes give-aways, free food, games, bounce houses and BPW vehicles.
The BPW will draw five names to receive $75 BPW utility gift certificates.
Why you should attend
"They should come to Central Park to see what the Board (of Public Works) is all about and what we're offering to our customers as a way of saying 'thank you.' It's going to be fun for the entire family. We'll have every aspect of our utility on show there."
