Etta “Lorraine” Lake went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Oct. 1, 2012.
Lorraine was born March 17, 1925, in Marion County, Mo., in the Hannibal, Mo., area, the daughter of William Robert and Martha Gertrude Dotson.
She married Rev. Steve E. Lake May 10, 1966, at her father’s home in Ralls County, Mo. He preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2011.
Survivors include daughter Linda Timbrook of New London, Mo.; stepson, Gary Lake (Judy) of Monroe City, Mo.; stepdaughter, Barbara Bowen of Hannibal, Mo.; grandchildren, Jamie Page (Lisa) of New London, Mo., Marni Tuhro (Adam) of Kirkwood, Mo.; great-grandchildren, Kyla Page, Rachel Page, Ethan Page, Hollie Page, Justin Tuhro and Lauren Tuhro; brother, William Robert “Bob” Dotson; sister, Virginia Rebecca “Becky” Blessing; many nieces and nephews, stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Danny Joe Tapley son-in-law, Kenneth Clay “Kenny” Timbrook; brother, Thomas Leroy Dotson; and great-granddaughter, Katie Page.
As a pastor’s wife, Lorraine was a very active and life-long part of her husband’s church ministry and also a member of the Freedom Bible Church of Hannibal, Mo.
Lorraine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and example of love, always caring for others before herself.
Memorials for Lorraine may be made to the Freedom Bible Church or Community Loving Care Hospice, in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Graveside services and burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal. Pastor Jamie Page will officiate.   
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, Oct. 3, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ray Zumwalt, Ray Allen, Ray Dowell, Brad Peters, Gene Peterson and Ron Walden.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wendle Allen, Adam Tuhro, Ethan Page, Justin Tuhro, Bob Dotson, Gary Lake and Mrs. Lake’s nephews.
