  • Brookdale Senior Living (BSL) announces that Zach Zerbonia, a native of Hannibal, has accepted the position of regional vice president – North Florida Region with Brookdale Senior Living.
    Zerbonia, son of Sherry and Richard and Karen Zerbonia, began his career with Brookdale - American retirement corporation in July 2002 as a team leader and then PRN physical therapist at Freedom Plaza Sun City Center. He rejoined BSL on a full-time basis in 2006 as senior director of new business development/start up for innovative senior care (ISC) and senior director of operations for the ISC Florida Division where he was responsible for integrating ISC services in over 70 communities across Florida. He was promoted to regional vice president of ISC Ops in 2009 covering the North, Southeast and Plains Divisions. He returned to Florida in August 2011 as regional vice president for Florida and entry fee for ISC, where he currently serves.
    Zerbonia has 15 years of health care and operations experience serving as a regional director of operations for a large physician practice management company specializing in emergency management, hospitalists and radiology services as well as leading mergers and acquisitions for a national home health and rehabilitation company.
    Zerbonia holds dual bachelor degrees in physical therapist and science a Master’s of Business Administration and received a doctorate of physical therapy in 2012. He resides in Tampa.
