Marguerite I. Stallard, 90, of Hannibal, Mo., and formerly of Palmyra, Mo., passed away at 9:13 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, Mo.
Burial will follow at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal, Mo.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, Mo.
Marguerite was born on Jan. 10, 1922, in Marion County, Mo., the daughter of Clarence and Susie Ward Edmunds.
She married Carl Blanton Stallard on Aug. 22, 1944, in Hannibal, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1981.
She is survived by her five children, Linda Kempf of Hannibal, Mo., Clarence Stallard of Palmyra, Mo., Carl Stallard of Hannibal, Mo., Terry Stallard Sr. of Palmyra, Mo., and Paul Stallard of Hannibal, Mo., and many grandchildren.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Sandford and Marvin Edmunds; two sisters-in-law, Clara and Althie Edmunds; a great-grandchild; and a special friend Ernest “Bud” Patterson.
Marguerite retired from the Hannibal Clinic after many years of service. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Hannibal, Mo., the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Lady Auxiliary, and the foster grandparent program at Head Start in Hannibal, Mo.
Pallbearers will be Billy Kempf, David Kempf, Greg Powers, Jo Powers Jr. Stallard and Lewis Stallard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Ewing and Richard Zimmerman.
Memorial contributions can be made to the North East Missouri Humane Society, in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
