According to the Police Department, its Special Response Team executed two search warrants at separate residences within 15 minutes of each other Thursday night. The first search warrant was served in the 300 block of S. Griffith. The second was served at a residence in the 1800 block of Hope Street.
During the course of entering the second residence, 37-year-old Patrick D. Brown of Hannibal jumped out a window and fled on foot. After a short pursuit, Brown was caught and arrested. Brown was charged with resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance and an Illinois warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
Also arrested was 32-year-old Bianca S. Owens of Hannibal. Owens was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
As a result of the searches, officers located substances believed to be heroin, marijuana and crack cocaine.
The two search warrants were a result of investigations conducted by the Hannibal Police Department’s Narcotics Division. Hannibal detectives were assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Pike County, Ill., Sheriff Department’s K-9 Unit.
