  • Pamela Jean Turnbull, 56, of Monroe City, Mo., passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at the University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia, Mo.
    She was born July 12, 1956, in Hannibal, Mo., the daughter of Eugene and Loretta Maher Greening.
    She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she served as president of the Parish Council. She attended Holy Rosary Grade School and graduated from Monroe City High School with the Class of 1974. She studied as a radiologist with St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, which was affiliated with Hannibal-LaGrange College.
    She worked for St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and recently Hannibal Regional Hospital as a senior CT/MR technologist for more than 38 years. Pam was a member of the American Radiology Association. She was a past member of the Tri County 4X4 Club. Pam enjoyed reading, working in her flower garden and spending time with family and friends.
    She married Gary L. Turnbull Dec. 9, 1978, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Monroe City, Mo. He survives of the home.
    Also surviving are her mother, Loretta Greening, Monroe City, Mo.; two daughters, Rachel Turnbull, Overland Park, Kan., and Audra Turnbull of the home; two aunts, two aunts, Bernice Howary and Patricia Winters. Also surviving are numerous cousins.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Greening; and one sister, Judy Greening.
    A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Father Mike Quinn and Deacon Mike Long will officiate. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
    Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening with the Parish holding a Scripture service at 7:30 p.m. at Garner Funeral Home, Monroe City, Mo.
    Active pallbearers will be Tom Maher, Greg Maher, Steve Pollard, Tom Pratt, Mike Carper, John Kapfer, John Buelig and Pat Tonsor.
    Honorary pallbearers will be her Hannibal Regional Hospital work family.
    Memorials have been suggested to the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
    Garner Funeral Home and Chapel, Monroe City, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
