Bernard S. Rupp was born on Dec. 26, 1923, in Hannibal, Mo. On Sept. 16, 2012, he passed away peacefully in his home in Aransas Pass, Texas.

On Sept. 16, 2012, he passed away peacefully in his home in Aransas Pass, Texas.
Bernard is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen I. Rupp of Aransas Pass; his daughter, Cheryl Carter, of Aransas Pass; his son, Dennis (Phyllis) Rupp of Hannibal, Mo.; his daughter, Debbie (Don) Hymers of Hannibal, Mo.; his four grandchildren, Brandi (Chris) Tanner; Brandon (Cindy) Rupp; James (Onali) Hymers; and Missy (Shane) Thomeczek; and six great-grandchildren.
On Sept. 26, 1953, Bernard was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and he remained an active and faithful witness of Jehovah the rest of his life. Bernard entered the full-time ministry 22 years ago and he loved to take Jehovah’s message of hope found at Psalm 37:29 to his neighbors. He lived his life in harmony with Bible principles and set a wonderful example for his family and friends. Bernard was very loved and he will be greatly missed.
A memorial service for Bernard will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1649 W. DeBerry in Aransas Pass.
