Peggy Jean Morris, 74, of Hannibal, Missouri, died at 6:32 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2012, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Morris was born September 25, 1937, in Cedar Grove, Missouri, to Raymond E. and Viola Edith Duncan Mooney.
She was married to Clarence “Porky” Morris on March 6, 1955, in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death January 14, 1991.
Survivors include 1 son, Keith Morris of Hannibal, MO, 5 brothers, Jim Mooney (Shirley) of Knoxville, TN, Dariel Botkin of Florissant, MO, Otto Mooney of Hazelwood, MO, Dee Mooney of St. Louis, MO, Junior Botkin (Lorie) of O’Fallon, MO; 4 sisters, Betty Cook of Cannon City, CO, Vera Steelman of Camdenton, MO, Kay Gallagher of Oceanside, CA, and Carol Fohey (Gerald) of Hannibal, MO; 1 grandchild, Tiffany Lynn Morris, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and an infant son, Brian Morris.
Mrs. Morris worked for 20 years at Buckhorn. She loved St. Louis Cardinals baseball and recently got into watching NASCAR with her son. Peggy enjoyed playing Bingo and in her younger days she liked visiting the casinos and taking trips to Las Vegas with her sister.
