    Byron Jay Maloney, 57, of Monroe City, Missouri (formerly of Macon, Missouri) passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012, at the Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
    He was born January 12, 1955, in Macon, Missouri, the son of John Edward and Charlotte Ann Hibler Maloney.

    Byron Jay Maloney, 57, of Monroe City, Missouri (formerly of Macon, Missouri) passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012, at the Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
    He was born January 12, 1955, in Macon, Missouri, the son of John Edward and Charlotte Ann Hibler Maloney.
    Jay was a member of the Monroe City First Baptist Church, Monroe City, Missouri. He was a 1973 graduate of Macon High School, Macon, MO. He worked as a Cable Splicer for Southwestern Bell-ATT Phone Company for many years, recently retiring in January 2011. Jay enjoyed Bass fishing, hunting and golf. He was an avid sports fan of all sports.
    He married Brenda Jean Kinkead October 4, 1986, in Centralia, Missouri. She survives of the home.
    Also surviving are one son, Shawn Maloney, also of the home; one aunt, Margaret Hutton, Macon, Missouri; one niece, Brooke Timmons and husband Ryan, St. Louis, Missouri; and numerous cousins.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Geneta Timmons.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2012, at the Garner Funeral Chapel, Monroe City, Missouri. Rev. Milton Baumgardner will officiate, with burial at the St. Jude Cemetery, Monroe City, Missouri.
    Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday at the Garner Funeral Home, Monroe City, Missouri.
    Pallbearers will be Chris Bloomberg, Dan Wilt, Scott Nelson, Barry Shatzer, Sherman Clark and Greg Cooper. Memorials have been suggested to the Monroe City First Baptist Church or the Monroe City Athletic Booster Club. Garner Funeral Home and Chapel, Monroe City, Missouri, is in charge of arrangements.
