    Donald Eugene Garner, 77, of Columbia, Missouri, and formerly of Hannibal, Missouri, died at 3:03 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2012, at Boone County Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 14, 2012, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial with Full Military Honors by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post #55 will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
    Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services, Friday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
    Mr. Garner was born December 24, 1934, in Hannibal, Missouri to Emmett G. and Ethel M. Sims Garner.
    Survivors include two children, David W. Garner of Sno Qualmie, WA, and Susan Garner Cannon of Plano, Texas; one brother, Emmett L. "Butch" Garner (Gayle) of Palmyra, MO; one sister, Sharon A. Garner Nicholls (Dale G.) of Columbia, MO; two grandchildren, Rachel Cannon and Claire Cannon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Mr. Garner was a United States Navy veteran. He served during the Korean War. Donald worked as a steamfitter for Local Union # 562. He loved jazz music and liked University of Missouri Sports, especially softball. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan. Mr. Garner was a Christian by faith.
    Memorial contributions may be made to "Columbia We Always Swing Jazz" in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
    Pallbearers will be Greg Sims, David W. Garner, George F. Gregory, Stephen Garner, Michael Garner and Matthew Garner.
    Honorary pallbearer will be Judge Robert M. Clayton II.
