  • My advice; do it. Come on back to the big leagues and go out on a positive note.

  • Timing couldn’t be more perfect for Roger Clemens.
He’s been acquitted, he’s pitching again, and the rumors are already flying that he may come back to the big leagues following hit court battle to determine whether or not he used steroids.
My advice; do it. Come on back to the big leagues and go out on a positive note. Don’t let that trial and the suspicion of steroids be the last thing everyone remembers about you. Come back and have two good years and go out strong with respect, admiration and satisfaction.
There is the one thing that puts Clemens between a rock and a hard place, the Hall of Fame.
He’s been out of the game for five years which means he’s on next year’s ballot, but a return in 2012 would restart that clock and Clemens would have to wait another five years from when he concludes a comeback.
If you ask me, it’s worth it.
It’s one thing to be acquitted and be free, but to come back and prove to everyone that all of those numbers you produced, all of that success you had, all of those rings you won was under your own natural ability, that’s something no one should pass up.
Roger Clemens is a Hall of Famer either way, but he would be a more admirable and appreciated Hall of Famer if he came back and redeemed himself. What’s another five years? He spent that time proving himself in court, now he should take the time to do it again on mound.
