Thomas L. Huss, 64, of Hannibal, Mo.,died at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at his home.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, June 30, 2012, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Jamey Dyke will officiate. Full military honors by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post No. 55 will be at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Mr. Huss was born March 18, 1948, in Hannibal, Mo., to Wilbur and Nina Huff Huss.
Survivors include two daughters, Brandy Gollaher (Scott) of Hannibal, Mo., and Stacey Jones (Scott) of Hannibal, Mo.; six grandchildren, Scott Thomas Gollaher, Gunnar Gollaher, Christopher Smith, Morgun Jones, BreAnna Campbell and Brooke Jones; and his pet beagle “LuLu,” whom he dearly loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Michele Huss; and a special aunt, Carrie Huff.
Mr. Huss was a United States Army veteran, having served during Vietnam. He retired from Buckhorn Rubber after 32 years, working in the shipping department. Tom enjoyed bowling, coaching basketball and baseball, walking, camping, fishing and watching his grandkids play sports, and he liked taking rides with his beagle, LuLu. He was a Methodist by faith.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a headstone for Thomas L. Huss.
Pallbearers will be Scott Gollaher, Scott Thomas Gollaher, Gunnar Gollaher, Rob Peak, Scott Jones and Chris Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters, Morgun Jones, BreAnna Campbell and Brooke Jones, and also Don Brownell, Leroy Webster and family, Barry Thomure and Wayne Carson.
