The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Mark Twain Lake invites the public to visit the lake for a night of pirate fun on Saturday, Sept. 17, at the M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center.
The event will kick off at 6 p.m. with a global positioning system treasure hunt. At 7:30 p.m. information about the lives of Pirates will be presented in song during Pirate Tom’s campfire concert. Throughout the evening there will be sailboats in the parking lot for viewing. “Pirates” of all ages are encourage to come in costume.
Prizes, decorations and activities will be sponsored by the Mark Twain Lake Association, Long John Silver’s of Hannibal and the Salt River Navigation Company of Florida.
The M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center is located on Route J, south of the Clarence Cannon Dam.
