  • Journalist Danny Henley, reporting from the 2100 block of Spruce Street, reports that a suspect in a shooting incident  around 3 p.m. was taken into custody by police. Neighbors and the suspect's fiance identify her as Monica Williams, who has been involved in an ongoing neighborhood dispute. Williams has run for city council in past elections, both times on the platform of restoring peace and order to her neighborhood.
    She allegedly shot a gun toward a house at 2108 Spruce Street. Henley said aparently no one was injured. No ambulance or fire crews responded to the incident.
    Henley will update this story when he arrives back at the newsroom. He will also have photos and video of the scene.
     
    Police were called to the 2100 block of Spruce Street just before 3 p.m. today, where it was reported there was a woman with a gun. Minutes later, according to scanner chatter, the gun was fired at a house across the street. By 3:05 p.m., the woman had gone back into her house.
    Journalist Danny Henley is at the scene and will report as events transpire.
