  • K. Colleen Gibbons, 72, of Hannibal, passed away at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at Boone County Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

  • K. Colleen Gibbons, 72, of Hannibal, passed away at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at Boone County Hospital in Columbia, Mo.
    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
    Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
    Colleen was born Jan. 21, 1937, in Perry, Mo., to Benjamin Franklin and Amanda Leona Brashears Bush.
    She was married to Daniel “Tuck” Gibbons on Feb. 22, 1957, in Hannibal. He survives.
    Other survivors include one son, David Gibbons (Kathy) of Hannibal, and children Dallas Gibbons (Ashley) and Zachary Gibbons; one daughter, Susan Waters of Hannibal, and children: Jaymee Fogle (Adam), Trischia Wilson (Jared Tate), Kara Wilson (Jordan Niemeyer) and Jeramie Wilson; one brother, Gary Bush (Mary Jane); five sisters, Pat Polley, Tess Drennan (Bob), Linda Arnett, Doris Miller (Mick) and Donna Dillon;  seven great-grandchildren, Coady Wryan, Sheltyn Layne, Jaylee Sharleen, Shaelyn LaRayne, Kennedi Ann, Kyler Blaine and Jaetyn Robert; special friends and co-workers, Linda Seals and Teresa Nett, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
    She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.
    Colleen was the owner and operator of Colleen’s Beauty Shop. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was affectionately known to them as “Nonnie”. Colleen especially enjoyed spending time with her great-grandson, Coady Wryan and she also enjoyed puzzles, crosswords and attending Bible study. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
    The family requests memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
    Pallbearers will be her nephews: J.R. Drennan, Josh Drennan, Jamie Drennan, Clinton Miller, Ronnie Arnett and John Arnett.
