A Paris man suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday in Monroe County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday at Business U.S. 24 and Missouri 15. A 1999 Ford driven by 51-year-old Vernon Painter of Paris and a 2005 Saturn driven by 54-year-old Graham Ritter of Paris were both stopped at a stop sign on eastbound Business 24 at Missouri 15. Reportedly the Ritter vehicle began to move forward. When the Ritter vehicle stopped the Painter vehicle drove into its rear.
Ritter, who was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident, suffered minor injuries. He was transported to Moberly Regional Medical Center by Monroe County Ambulance.
