  • William “Bill” J. Hagan, 78, of Hannibal, died at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

  • William “Bill” J. Hagan, 78, of Hannibal, died at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.
    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 6, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. The Rev. Steve Lake will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
    Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
    Mr. Hagan was born July 10, 1929, in Hannibal, to Allen  J. and Mary Alice  Krigbaum Hagan.
    He was married to Erma Frances Fugate on Jan. 2, 1951, in Hannibal. She preceded him in death Aug. 14, 1997.
    Survivors include two sons, Timothy Hagan (Joni) and Joseph Hagan (Mae England) all of Hannibal; one daughter, Sissy Hawn of Mexico, Mo.; three sisters, Shirley Hatch of Louisiana, Mo., Annie Bell and Beverly Spencer, both of the state of Texas; one brother, Thomas Hatch of Hannibal; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one expected great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
    Mr. Hagan was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jim Hagan and Dick Hagan; and one sister, Eugenia Nixon.
    Mr. Hagan retired from Wendt Sonis and Hannibal Carbide Tool Company. Bill was a member of the NRA and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Mr. Hagan was a member of Freedom Bible Church.
    Memorial contributions may be made to James E. Cary Cancer Center, in care of James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
    Pallbearers will be Timothy Hagan, Joseph Hagan, Eric Hagan, Sam Hagan, John Wagner, John McCloud and Matt Monroe.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Freddie Nixon, Tommy Hagan, Aaron Winterbower and Jake Humphrey.
