Over its history, the Hannibal Cavemen have developed a unique pattern for winning and losing on opening day. In 2010, Hannibal’s inaugural season, the Cavemen lost. They won in year two and lost again on opening day of year three. From that, the Cavemen continued to alternate, winning in even numbered years and losing in odd numbered years. The 2015 opener was no different as the Cavemen lost to Springfield 1-0 at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield Wednesday night.
