Mother Nature sure didn’t help the Cardinals out Saturday evening in Kansas City. Rain hit Kauffman Stadium almost as soon as the first pitch was thrown and never let up. When it picked up in intensity in the bottom of the sixth, the game went into a rain delay. After an hour and 10 minutes, the game was called, giving the Royals a 3-2 win over St. Louis in 5 ½ innings of play.
